Established in 1903, with the initial layout of nine holes designed by Willie Park, the then Professional at Musselburgh. Magdalene Fields Golf Club enjoys a cliff top setting with coastal views southwards to Holy Island and northwards to Scotland. The 18 hole course is parkland with a typical links layout set outside the Elizabethan Walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed, where English and Scots battled for centuries for control of the Border Town.

Founded in 1890, the original nine holes were laid out by the famous Golf Architect James Braid and extended to 18 in 1864. In 1964, the first 9 holes were modified by Frank Pennick to give added yardage and remains much the same today. Visitors will find a friendly and informal atmosphere in the clubhouse with full catering.

The fourth hole may appear easy at only 343-yards for a par four, but a sharp dogleg left that cannot be cut adds a little edge to this hole.

THE BELFORD is overlooked by the magnificent 18th century Belford Hall and boasts panoramic views over the North Sea nature reserve of Lindisfarne & Holy Island.

Dozens of new trees have been added and 9 new tee boxes. Goflers wishing to play a full 18 holes will be able to play each hole from two different angles.

Although only 11 years old, this parkland course has matured and is great fun to play, but be warned, it's no push over!

It is a challenging seaside links course whatever the weather. The feature hole on the course is the internationally famous 'par 3' 10th - 'Logan's Loch'. The course has 18 holes, measures 5542 yards and has a S.S.S.of 67.
